SEASON 3 | NEWS AND PATCHNOTES
Update 1.5.5
Balance changes, crash fixes, matchmaking and more...
2024.01.24
Welcome to Update 1.5.5
Today’s update comes with a number of balance changes for weapons and gadgets, including a decrease in the length of invulnerability after revival. We’ve also implemented crash fixes, and an adjustment to tournament matchmaking that will lead to tighter player skill-gap in tournaments. There is also a fix to the crossplay settings so it can be turned off successfully.
On top of all of this, we have some new content in the store!
A note about the future: based on your feedback and our own telemetry evaluation, we recognize that the Recon Senses ability for the Medium build needs an overhaul and we’re working on that right now. You can look forward to that change and more in next week’s update!

Update 1.5.0
You can expect balance changes, bug fixes, a bigger store, better security, and a limited-time game mode for all the solo queuers!
2024.01.17
Welcome to Update 1.5
Today we are introducing our very first limited-time mode (LTM): Solo Bank It!
This experimental twist on Bank It pits contestants against each other in a fight for individual glory in a 12-player arena. Just like Bank It, the first to amass 40,000 and deposit in the cash-out station wins. Solo queuers, rejoice!
We’re putting this mode out there to learn more about your experience, so we’ll open a channel in Discord to gather feedback for as long as the mode stays up.
Outside the new mode, Update 1.5.0 comes with a litany of balance changes, tweaks, and bug fixes — all laid out below — to help improve the overall experience.
In addition, with Update 1.5.0 we’re introducing our fair play guidelines, with revamped and improved detection methods for unfair play. From now on, we’ll restrict cheaters with more confidence and will be able to stand firmly behind our bans. Our goal, as always, is to make the game safe, fair, and fun
Finally, we’ve decided to expand the size of our store, with an even bigger and more diverse range of items at any given time.

Hotfix 1.4.1
We’re back with aim assistance updates and more!
2024.01.11
We’re back!
Today we have a small patch that addresses community feedback on aim assist, fair play, and bug fixes. These changes are the result of an in-depth review of how aim assist works — something we’ve only been able to validate with a player base as large as ours (thanks so much for playing our game, yolks!).
We have another bigger update in the works for next week, with a major security fix and some new exciting content, so stay tuned for that!
Aim Assistance
Zoom Snapping Angular Velocity now has a max cap, preventing unintended rapid 90-degree turns.
Camera Magnetism will be reduced to 35% from 50%, making player aim less sticky and lowering controller accuracy.
Zoom Snapping Time will be reduced to 0.25s from 0.3s.
Zoom Snapping will be removed from the SR-84 Sniper Rifle, Revolver, LH1, and all Shotguns, as it buffs them more
than other weapons.
Aim assist will ignore invisible players, fixing a bug with the existing system.
Clients running key re-mapping programs on PC will not have access to aim assist.
Update 1.4.0

HotFix 1.2.3
Hotfix with a few Updates
2023.12.13
What a whirlwind the last few days have been! Thanks for all the good games and amazing support <3
We have a patch with a few small but impactful updates:
We solved an authentication issue that was incorrectly reported as a ban and removed bans from accounts swept up in the error (try a restart now), an update to Skill-based Matchmaking (SBMM), and an adjustment to alleviate the backfilling annoyances flagged by the community.
Fixed a Steam login problem that caused players to receive a faulty ban message
We've made some changes to our skill-based matchmaking to ensure better-quality games. This means matchmaking times are likely to be ever so slightly longer, but you should find yourselves in slightly closer matches
We've updated the way backfills work in Quick Cash and Bank It. This should mean that you get backfilled less often and when you do get backfilled, you should have more time remaining in the match, especially in Bank It mode
We’ve fixed the incorrect timer on the in-game shop
See you in the arena!
Xbox HotFix 1.2.1
Fixed a bug on Xbox to correctly handle blocked social invites and voice chat.
2023.12.11

2023.12.09
Here comes the very first hotfix for THE FINALS.
If you played in our Closed Betas and you feel that you are experiencing the game differently now. Make sure to bump your Field-of-View (FOV) up to 90 in the Video Settings menu for the same experience.
UI Changes
Added missing UI that made Oceania/South American matchmaking regions not visible in the settings even though they have been online and working. Please note, for the time being, South America will incorrectly be labeled as Brazil.
Fixed incorrect UI on prices from Steam that added two additional zeros in some countries. No one was charged that much, it was only a display issue.
Movement
Fine-tuned the first-person view sprint animations
